Introduction

The Centre of Ecumenical, Missiological and Environmental Studies Metropolitan Panteleimon Papageorgiou (CEMES) is a non for profit research center that aims:

a) to provide scientific research services, studies, conferences and publications in the field of ethics, religions, spirituality, human rights, interfaith dialogue, areas which the late Metropolitan Panteleimon had served with passion and consistency as a hierarch representing the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Church of Greece and as an Honorary Doctor of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

b) to cultivate the environmental consciousness on the integrity of God’s creation.

The Center has organized very important scientific conferences concerning main contemporary questions such as gender issues, interfaith dialogue, ecumenical, Church and state relations, Economic and Refugee Crisis, environmental ethics, and currently a webinar on the recent pandemic. It has published 38 books based on those issues.

In cooperation with the global network of Theological Education, the World Conference of Association of/and Theological Institutions/Educators (WOCATI) and the University of Saint Catherine in the US (USK), is launching an online distant Post-graduate Program in Geopolitics and Religious and Ecumenical Relations.
